When you first start doing Cycle, my suggestion is to just have at it. Just trying is a victory. Also, don't expect much. Early in using EBT emotions are not as deep, so the Cycle penetrate and enable you to find unreasonable expectations. It's only as you use it over time, and feel that powerful switch from stress to joy that the tool becomes even more powerful.
However, right from the start, chances are you'll feel the shirt. Knowing what is happening when you use it, adds to the richness of the experience. First, be sure you are in Brain State 4, not 3 or 5. If you are in those states, use Emotional Housecleaning and you'll pop to 1 or 2. In either case, use a tool again to get to a deep, pure, fabulous Brain State 1. If you are in Brain State 5, use Damage Control.
